Frigid Trail Race & Plunge | February 4
Warm up and cool down at the U.S. National Whitewater Center with the Frigid Trail Race & Plunge! Runners have a choice of completing a 5k or 10k race throughout the grounds finishing with an ice-cold plunge into the Deep Water Solo pool. Pre-registration ends February 1st, but day-of registrations are welcome!
Queen City Brewers Festival | February 11
Head to the Queen City Brewers Festival, where over 40 of the Charlotte region’s craft beverage producers come together to celebrate their contributions to Charlotte! This year the event will benefit Project Life Movement, a Charlotte-based non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for all ages, races, and ethnicities. The Orchid Festival and Ganache in the Gardens | February 11 and 12
The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens invites you to celebrate Valentine’s Day at their Orchid Festival and Ganache in the Gardens event on February 11th and 12th! This event includes presentations, various vendors, staff-guided tours of our orchid collection, chocolate-making, and crafting opportunities. Mardi Gras Gumbo Cook-Off | February 18
Celebrate Mardi Gras with a gumbo cook-off at HiWire Brewing! Sponsored by the LSU Carolinas Alumni Association, you can plan to enjoy plenty of gumbo, king cake, music, and more. Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
African American Heritage Festival | February 25
Celebrate Charlotte’s Black history and culture at the annual African American Heritage Festival! Hosted by The Charlotte Museum of History, this free event includes art, music, food, keynote speaker Jaki Shelton Green, and much more.
